Exploring the World through Story A/B for Older Learners
November 9 at 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm CST
An event every week that begins at 1:00 pm on Tuesday and Thursday, repeating until November 16, 2023

Exploring the World Through Story, the curriculum Ms. Jenn wishes had been around for her kids, is so rich and wonderful it’s a shame that older students may have missed out on levels A and B. Especially if your family is transitioning from an unschooling method, these levels ensure your older student learns the skills they need in narration and copywork to succeed at their true grade level. We’ll meet twice weekly to review phonics rules and complete Levels A and B in the 36-week school year. If your student doesn’t enjoy reading this is a good place to start.
In Level A, we’ll share classic fables from Aesop and pourquoi (“how and why”) tales from around the world with your student. By the end of the year, students will have explored stories from more than a dozen different cultures, and they will be able to name and locate all of the continents and world oceans.
In Level B, students meet famous trickster characters from around the globe while expanding their knowledge of world geography. African and African-American tales take center stage this year. Students discover how geographers divide the globe with lines of latitude and longitude.
